Flight Calm privacy policy
Effective date:
Provided by Zencora Neuro Holdings Inc.
This policy covers Flight Calm for iPhone and its optional Apple Watch companion, version 1.0.0 (2026100501). Differences for TestFlight testing are explained separately below.
No account is required. Flight Calm has no analytics, advertising, or tracking. It does not sell your personal data. Your photos, boarding-pass documents, and Health readings are not uploaded to Zencora.
Photos and personal content
The photo picker gives Flight Calm only the pictures you choose. Selecting a Shared Album asks for Photos permission. Pictures in iCloud may need to download before you can save them for offline use.
Flight Calm keeps protected, resized still-image copies on your iPhone, without the original image metadata. These app copies are excluded from the app’s device backup. They are not uploaded or used for face analysis. Removing a saved photo removes the app’s copy; the original remains in Apple Photos. Apple Photos and iCloud follow your Apple settings.
Your calm-space text, preferences, trip and packing notes, and contacts you type stay in the app. Flight Calm does not read your device’s Contacts library. These records may be included in your device backup. Siri and Shortcuts can read a saved flight or add a note only when you invoke the action. Bundled voice sessions play on the device; your personal text is not sent to a cloud voice service.
Boarding passes and travel details
Boarding-pass images, barcodes, PDFs, Wallet files, and pasted text are parsed on your iPhone. The imported source image and passenger name are not saved by Flight Calm. Flight details you review and confirm, such as route, dates, scheduled times, and seat, are saved locally.
Hotel confirmations are also read on the device. If you review and save a hotel, its name, address, dates, and extracted booking details stay in the app. Local travel records can be included in device backups. Packing reminders use local notifications.
Sharing creates a draft that you choose to send through Messages or the share sheet. Shared trip-planning text includes the notes you choose to share. Flight Calm does not send automatic messages or flight updates.
Apple Health and optional sensors
HealthKit access is optional and requires your permission. The iPhone app reads heart rate and heart-rate variability for the optional sensor session. Its HealthKit access is read-only: the iPhone app does not write to Apple Health. Health and connected-sensor readings are processed on the device and are never uploaded to Zencora, weather providers, advertising services, or cloud voice services.
The optional Apple Watch companion is a separate case: starting its session creates a workout, sends heart rate to your paired iPhone through Apple’s device connection, and saves the workout in Apple Health. Apple’s own Health synchronization and backups follow your settings. “Never uploaded by Flight Calm” does not disable Apple’s Health sync.
Control Health and Bluetooth permissions in Apple’s settings. Saved Health workouts have their own deletion controls and may remain after Flight Calm is deleted.
Location and online travel tools
Flight Calm does not start reading your phone’s location on launch. It requests location only after you tap a location control and allow access. Location is used for the optional speed dashboard or departure planning; it is not used for advertising or background flight tracking.
A route-weather check uses the airports you choose, not your phone’s current position. Route coordinates are rounded to four decimal places for Open-Meteo; NOAA Aviation Weather receives a route bounding area rounded to one decimal place for pilot reports, or an advisory request without your location.
If you enable phone location and then tap Refresh for outside weather on the speed dashboard, the current coordinate is sent to Open-Meteo without that route rounding. Apple Maps receives the coordinate or address needed for directions and traffic estimates, also without a rounding guarantee. The weather temperature is a model estimate, not an aircraft measurement.
| Service | When and what it receives |
|---|---|
| Open-Meteo | A route check sends rounded route coordinates and forecast fields. A dashboard weather refresh sends the current coordinate and a temperature field. Neither includes your name, pass, photos, flight number, or Health readings. |
| NOAA aviationweather.gov | A route check requests public pilot reports for a rounded route area and public advisories. Health readings and personal travel documents are not included. |
| Apple Maps and geocoding | Address lookup sends the entered or extracted address. Directions requests send origin and destination coordinates and a departure time. Estimates may refresh while the departure-planning screen is open. |
| Uber and web searches | Tapping Uber passes the destination address and asks Uber to use your location. Opening a flight-status search sends the flight query to Google in your browser. Other links open the service you select. |
Online providers receive network information such as your IP address when a request reaches them. Open-Meteo may keep technical request logs, including coordinates, for up to 90 days; see its privacy information. Apple, NOAA, Uber, and Google handle their own records under their policies. Zencora does not control those independent records.
TestFlight feedback only
The feedback recorder and feedback uploads are disabled in App Store builds. In TestFlight test builds (and development builds), you can choose to send a typed note or record a voice note. The recorder can offer a screenshot, which you can review and turn off before submitting.
Submitted text, selected audio and screenshot, app and device version information, and an installation identifier are sent to Zencora’s support store through Supabase. Photos, flight records, and Health readings are not attached as separate records, but a note or screenshot can contain information you include. Avoid personal health details or boarding-pass information.
If a test submission cannot send, it stays in a local queue and retries when the test app is opened online. The local queue copy is removed after delivery is acknowledged. Support copies remain until Zencora removes them; there is no fixed automatic retention period. To request deletion, email justin@zencoraneuro.com with the approximate submission date and a short phrase from the note. Do not send sensitive information just to identify a note.
Retention and deletion
Local data stays on your device until you remove the relevant saved item or delete the app. Deleting Flight Calm removes its local photos, travel details, preferences, notes, and unsent test feedback. Removing a saved item does not remove copies already shared with someone else.
Device backups, Apple Photos originals, sent messages, Apple Health workouts, and independent service logs have separate retention and deletion controls. For a copy or deletion of TestFlight feedback or support correspondence held by Zencora, email the contact below. We may ask for enough information to locate the record and verify your request.
Children
Flight Calm is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through TestFlight feedback or support. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can locate and remove it. A parent or guardian should supervise a child’s use of breathing tools and device permissions.
This website
This website has no analytics scripts, advertising trackers, cookies, account forms, or remote media embeds. Images and films are served with the site. When the site is hosted, the hosting provider necessarily receives technical connection information such as an IP address to deliver pages. Following an App Store or email link opens that service. An email you send to support includes the information you choose to provide and is retained as support correspondence.
